If your wee ones can't get enough of Gabby, Pandy Paws and the Gabby Cats, get ready: Gabby's Dollhouse Live! arrives at the SEC Armadillo on Friday 27 March, bringing the beloved DreamWorks Animation series to life on stage for the very first time in Scotland.

Better still, Glasgow is the opening night of the brand-new UK tour — so Scottish families get first dibs on the magic.

What's the Show About?

This isn't a screen-on-stage job. Gabby's Dollhouse Live! is a fully staged theatrical production featuring original puppetry, dynamic sets and a cast of singer-actor-puppeteers performing a brand-new story.

In this adventure, Gabby unboxes a mysterious acorn that needs the power of a rainbow to grow. But when CatRat causes a colour "cat-astrophe" and shatters the rainbow, Gabby and friends must travel through the Cat-O-Sphere, Mermaid-Lantis and other favourite Dollhouse locations to find the missing colours.

Expect fan-favourite songs including Sprinkle Party, Hey Gabby, Music In You and You Can't Spell Meow Without Me — so your little ones will be singing and dancing from start to finish.

A quick heads-up for parents: the actors from the Netflix series do not appear in the live show. The characters are brought to life by a talented stage cast and puppeteers.

Show Times & Tickets

There are two performances on Friday 27 March:

  • Show 1 — Doors open at 12:30pm
  • Show 2 — Doors open at 3:30pm

Exact curtain-up times had not been listed by the promoter at time of writing — check the SEC website closer to the date.

Tickets range from £33.75 to £70.60 (including admin fees). All tickets are digital via the Safetix system — your phone is your ticket, so make sure it's charged before you head out.

Children under 12 months go free, provided they sit on a ticket-holder's lap. Everyone over 13 months — kids and adults alike — needs their own ticket.

Tickets are on sale now via sec.co.uk or the accessible booking line on 0141 576 3230 (Mon–Fri, 9am–2pm).

Age Suitability

The show is designed for children aged 2 to 6, though older siblings will enjoy it too. It runs for approximately 75 minutes with a 15–20 minute interval — a comfortable length for little attention spans.

Is It During School Holidays?

Not quite. Friday 27 March falls during Term 4 for Glasgow schools — the Easter break doesn't start until schools close on Thursday 2 April. The afternoon show (doors at 3:30pm) could work after an early pick-up, but families wanting the earlier performance may need to plan ahead.

If you can't make the Glasgow date, the tour visits the Edinburgh Playhouse on 8 April, which falls during the Easter holidays — worth keeping in mind.

Getting to the SEC Armadillo

The SEC campus sits on the north bank of the Clyde, just west of the city centre. There's on-site parking at the SEC, though it fills up fast for popular family events — arrive early or consider public transport. The venue is a short walk from Exhibition Centre rail station and is well served by bus routes. Full travel info is available on the SEC website.

Don't Miss Out

With Glasgow kicking off the UK tour and only one date in the city, tickets are expected to move fast. If your household has a Gabby's Dollhouse fan, this is one to snap up now.
